I am a Ph.D. student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Geography at Florida State University. I hold both an M.S. and a B.Sc. in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
My research focuses on the integration of remote sensing, geospatial data science, and artificial intelligence to investigate urban environmental processes, climate-related challenges, and land system dynamics. I am particularly interested in Geospatial AI (GeoAI), Geospatial Foundation Models (GeoFM), urban climate, urban heat islands, land use and land cover change, and explainable artificial intelligence for Earth observation applications.
Prior to joining Florida State University, I worked across research, consulting, and disaster risk management sectors. As a Research Consultant in the Remote Sensing Division at the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS), I contributed to large-scale geospatial and Earth observation projects. I also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Chittagong, where I developed expertise in spatial analysis, remote sensing, and environmental monitoring. Additionally, as a Green Response Officer with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), I supported initiatives related to disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability.
